Sony recently held its first PlayStation State of Play broadcast of this year on February 22, 2023, and we got to see what is coming to PS5, PS4, and PS VR2 in 2023. Apart from updates on some of the previously announced titles, we got to see plenty of upcoming titles to PS VR2, the newly released VR headset for the PS5. It was natural that we got to see a lot of PS VR2 titles during the event as well because, unlike the first VR headset, this time around, Sony is very serious and already has some really cool titles on it with tons coming in the next few months.
With that said, let’s jump into what was showcased in the PlayStation State of Play February 2023 broadcast:
The Foglands Reveal
The Foglands is an atmospheric sci-fi western roguelike, and it is slated for release on PS VR2 later this year.
Destiny 2: Lightfall Launch Trailer
The Lightfall expansion for Destiny 2 is arriving next week and Bungie took the platform to officially release the Destiny 2: Lightfall launch trailer and shared details on many of the quality-of-life features releasing along with the new expansion. Check out the new trailer below:
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Deep Dive
Remedy took to the stage and showcased additional information on Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League with two different trailers and tons of new information reveal. One can say that this was officially our first proper look at the game ever since it was revealed. Apart from showcasing 4-play co-op in the game, Remedy also showcased a behind-the-scenes trailer that focused on the work that has been going on at the studio. Check out bot trailers below:
Tchia Release Date Announcement
We finally got to know the release date of the upcoming adventure game Tchia by Awaceb and it is March 21, 2023. Check out the latest trailer below:
Humanity Reveal
Humanity is a new intriguing puzzle game and it was revealed showcasing new gameplay details in a trailer along with a demo release as well. Check out the demo below:
Resident Evil 4 Trailer
Capcom showcased the latest trailer for the upcoming Resident Evil 4 trailer which revealed new gameplay details along with reveal of the Mercenaries mode. A new special demo for Resident Evil 4 is also coming soon however details about the demo will be released later:
Street Fighter 6 Character Reveal
Capcom also released a new trailer for the upcoming Street Fighter 6 during which it showcased the final three characters for the game’s launch. The final three fighters revealed for Street Fighter 6 included Cammy, Lily and Zangief. Check out the new trailer below:
Baldur’s Gate 3 PS5 Launch
Larian Studios took the stage and revealed that their currently available in Early-Access RPG, Baldur’s Gate 3 is coming to PS5 on August 31, 2023. We also got to see the game running on the PS5 system in the new trailer which we have linked below for you:
Wayfinder Gameplay Reveal
Wayfinder is coming to PS4 and PS5 and the latest trailer revealed that the PlayStation players will get exclusive Early Access to the game in May 2023. Check out the new trailer below:
